Guilford Athletic Center’s Performance Training is a constantly varied, high-intensity functional program built to improve how you move in real life. It’s not specialized—it’s broad, general, and inclusive, designed to optimize your physical competence across ten fitness domains:

All levels welcome—from first-timers to competitive athletes. Every workout is coach-led and scaled to your ability, so you’ll train safely, progress consistently, and leave feeling accomplished.

What to Expect in Class

  • Dynamic Warm-Up: Prep joints, activate key muscle groups, and review movement standards.

  • Skill/Strength Block: Focused technique work (e.g., squats, hinging, presses, pulling, core).

  • WOD (Workout of the Day): Constantly varied functional training—intervals, EMOMs, AMRAPs, and more.

  • Cool-Down & Mobility: Guided recovery to protect joints and boost longevity.

Is this beginner-friendly?
Yes. Every session is coach-led with individualized scaling.

Do I need to be “in shape” to start?
No. We meet you where you are and progress safely.

What should I bring?
Athletic shoes, water, and a towel. We provide all training equipment.

How long is class?
About 60 minutes, including warm-up and cool-down.

Our FAQ'S

Contracts are Monthly and there is a 30 day cancellation policy. If you cancel mid-month, you will be charged again on the next billing cycle. You may still use your membership during the course of that time.

To schedule an individual training session, call us direct 203-530-1725 and we’ll discuss your needs, goals and pair you with a trainer that fits your needs best.

The bathrooms are cleaned daily and you’re welcome to spray down the shower prior to your use. We recommend wearing shower shoes and bringing your own soap and towels.

We have a filter system where you can fill your own bottle (cold or hot water) plus a Pro Shop were you can buy water bottles, apparel, THORNE supplements, energy and recovery drinks. If we suspect someone is having a sugar crash, we do have free protein bars to help.

Rent Space

Our facility is available for rent to Personal Trainers and Coaches who would like to do one-on-one training with their clients. Arrangements can be made to accommodate larger group training needs. Please email Coach Clint for details: clint@guilfordtrainingcenter.com

Must provide proof of insurance and licensure or certification.

All coaches, trainers and their clients will be required to sign waivers under Guilford Athletic Center, LLC.
